Jasmine Celikovic is a talented makeup artist based in Melbourne, Australia.

Three years ago, Jasmine Celikovic decided to become a mobile makeup artist and opened up her own studio in Melbourne. She's now a highly experienced and talented MUA in occasion, photography, mature-aged, and bridal makeup.

We had the chance to catch up with Jasmine and asked about her journey to becoming a successful Melbourne-based mobile makeup artist to share with aspiring independent makeup-artists.

How did you know a career as a Makeup Artist was for you?

I have always had a passion for makeup and beauty, even as a little girl. I decided to do a diploma in beauty therapy but found out that all the other stuff wasn't for me and I just wanted to explore makeup. One year later I found the amazing Tamarua Beauty Academy and totally fell in love with makeup!

How do you come up with your makeup looks? Where do you get inspiration from?

I can be pretty creative but some of my inspiration has definitely come from Instagram. I'll see something I like and think..that would look so much better with this or that, and I'll add things to make it my own.

What are some of your favourite makeup products?

The Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré is just amazing and can be used as a mask, moisturiser and primer. I also couldn't live without my Mario Badescu facial spray and of course my Beauty Blender!

Do you have any Makeup Tips to give us?

To make shimmery eyeshadows pop or to take your powder highlighters to another level, simply spritz your brush with product on it with a setting spray before applying it to your face. If you are looking for a really natural look, cream contour before you apply your foundation then blend it all together.

What is your favourite current makeup trend?

I live for glowing bronzed skin and big lashes.
