We know how important it is to nail your makeup base and application and are HERE TO HELP!
We believe that nothing screams Spring more than a gorgeous, flawless and healthy looking complexion however this can sometimes be hard to achieve. There are soooo many factors that can come into play when prepping your skin and applying makeup such as skin texture, condition, irritation and over all skin care. In order to help YOU create a beautiful face base and a natural glow to your skin, we have teamed up with one of our AMAZING BBN professionals Phoebe Limanta who has revealed her MUST HAVE SECRETS to help YOU succeed in your Spring makeup routine. In doing so we have also uncovered insight into the current makeup trends which are flooding your social media feeds at the moment.
We asked Phoebe what her current SECRET MUST HAVE beauty products are for Spring as well as how she gets that GLOWY GORGEOUS base in her Instagram client photos and here is what she had to say:
In your opinion what is ONE MUST HAVE beauty product at the moment?
Hands down, Hourglass Mineral Veil, over and over again! To me, it is the greatest primer in the world and works on just about EVERYBODY. It makes your foundation LAST incredibly long and makes your base water resistant. This is just my holy grail.
In terms of a trend based item, I think that pigments are really making a comeback. For a long while, there's a stigma with pigments that it's just too messy and lot's of fallout and whatnot but I think with a great sticky base, it really makes the pigment pop and in turn, your eyes pop!
What is that ONE really good BEAUTY TIP which people are always asking you about?
I get asked about having a GLOWY base all the time! The key is just great prepping of the skin! I use MAC softening lotion to buff at any dry patches before I put a good moisturiser on top.
I let that sink in while I do the eyes first and then I'll follow that up with a glowy base product like Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow or MAC Strobe Cream.
If my client has more of an oily skin, I only use those products on the cheekbones and use the powder highlight down the nose. My favourite highlighter is probably not a surprise because everybody loves them too but it is the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in the liquid and the powder form.
